My Students

My students are incredible little geniuses in their own individual way. They are special education students who are in the general education setting and see me for their learning support. I teach a resource room class with students in a K-4 building. My students have needs all over the map, and so my classroom needs are very diverse. I have students who can read at a fourth-grade level but can’t add or subtract numbers. I have others who can read but can’t comprehend a word that they read.

I love my students and my job such as a painter loves each brush stroke in an oil painting, each unique with lots of imperfections but together they are whole and beautiful.

My Project

Teachers continually spend lots of their hard-earned dollars on supplies for their students. My students need specific interactive materials that are different from the supplied curriculum from my district. I have special learners that need interactive lessons (Boom Cards, Smart Board Activities, etc) which are all supplied and sold by other teachers to meet our needs. Please help us fund more interactive and FUN learning for my special education students. I no longer want to stick to paper and pencil worksheets. We need better learning for our students!
