My students are second through eighth grade gifted and talented boys and girls, bright, energetic, imaginative, creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration! I love my students like my own kids, and I want to provide them with every possible opportunity to learn through movement. I just want them to be able to grow and learn!
My Project
Tchoukball is an indoor team sport developed in the 1970s by Swiss biologist Dr. Hermann Brandt.
Dr. Brandt was concerned about the number of injuries in sports at the time and as part of an educational study he wanted to create a sport that reduced injuries, was not aggressive between players and enabled people of all shapes, sizes, genders, cultures, and backgrounds to play together.
We will use this resource to learn, practice, and play Tchoukball which will teach important lessons in all 4 learning domains. Those domains are cognitive, affective, fitness, and psychomotor.
The round adjustable goals I can use for TONS of lesson plans that I have.
