My students attend a K-5 elementary school in system which embraces full inclusion of students with disabilities. They come from diverse backgrounds, and bring richness to our community. My students are smart, funny, caring little humans who need the very best our school system can offer.
We teach and support students who have disabilities.
They need activities that are developmentally-appropriate, easily accessible, and organized.
My students need specially-designed instruction for English-Language Arts, Mathematics, and fine-motor. Students need opportunities to practice skills with teachers and school support staff.
My students live and learn in a community which is predominantly low-income. Learning is maximized when they have the most appropriate materials, spaces and tools.
My Project
Students who are identified has having special education needs require highly individualized, targeted instruction. Teachers work hard to develop and deliver quality instruction every day.
My students work on developmentally-appropriate tasks, and need frequent practice throughout the day.
In order to best provide the type of instruction my students deserve, I need task boxes, organizers, and supplies.
In addition to dedicated teachers, our school is fortunate to have amazing instructional assistants and support staff. These task boxes will help our amazing personnel support the individualized programming our students need.
