This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students attend a Title I school and are very enthusiastic to have a ​music class for the first time. The school has not had a music program for many years, so we are starting the music program with almost no instruments or resources. I teach Pre-K-8th Grade, so there are many different types of materials needed to help my students thrive in music class.

My students deserve every advantage they can get, and want to show the community how they can flourish through the arts.

My students are excited to perform, create, and educate themselves through music. My students are hard-working and eager to get started in their music education.

My Project

It is so important for students to experience and learn about the world around them. Using these books and instruments, I am looking forward to teaching the students about different parts of the world-and in some cases, places my students may be from!

Getting the opportunity to explore other cultures at a young age can change a student's life, and these instruments will enable my students to explore the world from their music classroom.

Most of my students are immigrants from various parts of the world. It would be invaluable to all of my students to get to learn about each other's cultures together as one. Please help us take our music class global!
