Taking Coding to the Next Level with Dot & Dash

My students need coding curriculum and challenge cards to learn and apply their skills to coding and create increased technology opportunities with Dot and Dash robots.

My Students

My students are some of the most important people in my life. For many of them the knowledge that I believe in them is what sparks them to move past their fears and struggles and "I can't" attitude to an "I can do hard things" attitude.

Eager, energetic, hard-working, willing to accept a challenge...these are just some of amazing adjectives that describe my students.

Our school has a diverse pool of learners and socioeconomic situations. Within moments of coming in on the first day of school, my students know that they are in a place where they can and will learn, grow, and be successful. My students know that they are in a place where no one will ever give up on them.

My Project

Our classroom has access to Dot and Dash robots and we love using them to have fun! My students love technology and learning and discovering new ways to learn and grow through being creative.

We need to move past basic coding to more advanced coding to take our learning to the next level!

We love to play with Dot and Dash robots, but now we need opportunities to use more advanced coding and activities to increase our Wonder and help us move into 21st Century learning.

Having the Learning to Code Curriculum from Wonder Workshop with the Coding Challenge cards will allow my students to not only learn basic coding in meaningful lessons, but will also let them take that learning and apply it to new and interesting challenges that will allow them to apply learning from all curriculum in new, fun ways. Working with our 2nd grade buddies we can use the Accessories kit to help create interactive stories using Dot to connect with literacy and language arts.

My students love new ideas and new challenges. Please help me bring even more wonder to my classroom.
