Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Many of my students come from low-income households and lack the resources to adequately prepare for future endeavors. I know if given the proper resources and access, my students could achieve their future goals. I currently have a beautifully decorated classroom, but it is lacking chairs. Many of my chairs are breaking or not stable enough for my students to sit in. The chairs will be used to provide my students with a more comfortable learning environment.

My students are very capable, but lack the resources to expand upon their knowledge.

I know if given the proper seating in my classroom, my students will be able to take what is learned in my classroom further in life. My school tries to provide for our students, but they only have so much funding to give.

My Project

I want my students to feel like they are at home and comfortable in their learning environment. Currently, my students are sitting in wooden kitchen chairs that I paid for and painted over the summer. Due to constant wear and tear, my chairs are beginning to fall apart leaving my students with unstable seating.

Your donation to this project will provide my students with fun and comfortable seating.

Students learn best in an environment that makes them feel engaged and comfortable. What better way than by offering them flexible and comfortable chairs? Help make my vision a possibility. I have already completed all the grunt work of making my classroom inviting through the painting of walls and decorating. I just need the help with providing additional seating to my students. I want my students to have chairs like the ones requested so they can worry less about falling out of their chair and more about falling in love with literature.
