My Project

I want to build our classroom library and add titles that are a series! Not only will these books allow us to get more books in the hands of our students, but they will be able to experience novels that have characters that are like them. These titles give our students a chance to experience new perspectives and to grow their mindsets through reading.

These book series sets will allow my students a chance to experience stories that span over multiple books.

Through book series, I want my students to have a chance to see a bigger world and to understand and appreciate that they are represented in art and literature. The novels I have requested have characters who have disabilities, experience mental illness, have experienced trauma, and represent a variety of cultures and races across the world. Every story matters, just as every student matters.
