Help me give my students engaging books to read from loved series and holiday classics! Book collections such as Pete the Cat and 'How to' books promote reading among our lowest readers since they are familiar and approachable.

My Project

My students are so eager to learn and grow everyday. I have been pleasantly surprised with how often I am asked "Mrs. Wirth can I read a book?"

As a new teacher my classroom library is limited with the variety of books I have available to my students.

I find that my students are rereading the same stories over and over again due to my lack of grade level reading resources.

Expanding my classroom library will expose my students to alternative forms of text, story telling styles, characters, and series. I want to give my eager readers a broad variety of reading materials.
