My Students
Our school is a Title I, inner-city school with a diverse population. A full 86% of our students are considered low-income. We are exploring new ways to use data to improve instruction and objectives, the learning environment, and student outcomes. Our pillars for success are commitment, perseverance, and honor. Students are pushed to excel, to achieve great things, and to stay focused on academic goals and pursuits. My students are thriving now on everything I expect them to do. Achieving something in music is performance-based. I have approximately 75 students in bands and orchestras.
My Project
The COVID - 19 pandemic has challenged every educator to think creatively. How do I still encourage students to learn and progress, despite uncertainties and irregular days and weeks?

Both electric and acoustic, this 12 string guitar has the flexibility to make traditional folk and modern music come alive.
With the growing popularity of learning skills at home, this instrument makes the perfect tool to build a musician, and create quality music - all while moving ahead through these uncertain times.
