My Project

My scholars are emerging leaders who thrive when learning moves beyond abstract formulas and onto the desk in front of them. They are energetic, analytical, and eager to master high-level STEM and mathematical concepts. However, moving straight to procedural algorithms without physical conceptual foundations often creates learning gaps. We hold students to high standards of executive precision, tactical communication, and peer collaboration. By giving them tactile tools to build, model, and explain their thinking, we empower them to take full ownership of their academic data and analytical growth.

This project introduces concrete math and STEM manipulatives—including fraction tiles, algebraic balance scales, magnetic base-ten blocks, and structural building kits—to power our math's problem-solving framework.

Using the Concrete-Representational-Abstract (CRA) sequence, students will physically manipulate tools to model complex ratios, fractional reasoning, and structural geometry before transferring their understanding to data charts and formal notation. Working in small collaborative pods, students will utilize these tools to defend their mathematical reasoning, track peer metrics, and practice tactical presentation skills. These resources turn abstract mathematical concepts into concrete, physical experiences that build lasting conceptual confidence
