Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students love coming to school each day. They bring so many personal experiences, languages, and excitement. Most students come to us with very limited English language skills (if any) and could use additional support in literacy.

These tactile manipulatives will engage all learners as they develop letter knowledge, number sense with addition, and STEM creativity.

The Lakeshore Tactile Liquid Letters will provide an interactive and fun way for students to learn to write and recognize letters of the English alphabet. The magnetic drawing boards will be used as a fun, independent literacy center as students learn to write sight words, CVC, and CVCe words. Finally, the STEM Magna Tiles will be used during science centers as they get to build their own animal home during our animal unit.
