Help me give my students a hands on experience to help them understand to move their hands across the pages of books to feel for bumps and tactile information as they begin to learn about braille.
My students are visually impaired and rely on their tactile skills to read. These poke-a-dot books have a fun interactive pop cell on each page that encourages the students to move their hands over the illustrations to find and pop the dots. This is a great skill for soon to be braille readers.
The students find these books fun and engaging while providing them skills that will help them learn to navigate braille text in the future.
This type of text is invaluable to the reading process for braille readers.
