Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students in our school have a very special place in my heart–mostly because I went to our school as a kid. I was fortunate enough to have everything I needed as a learner but these students are truly in need of materials to make their lives a little easier.

They are primarily from low income, Spanish-speaking families.

Our school is a Title I school, and our neighborhood is a very diverse community with many low income families just getting by.

My Project

These tablets will make a huge difference in the way my students learn in small groups and in the way I can help motivate them to learn even more.

The world of technology can open up their hearts and their minds to a plethora of information and knowledge.

Their lives are consumed with technology anyway, so why not expand their learning with the very tool that their use in their daily lives. My students have very limited worldly exposure and prior knowledge that these tablets will allow them to experience a zoo, a horse stable, a park, or even a science lab.
