Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach an eclectic group of vivacious high school students, all working towards becoming better global citizens. Each of my students is​ working towards becoming well-rounded, health-conscious individuals in our digital age.

Many of my students are active advocates in school and their communities, spreading the knowledge they take from my health room, enlightening others on ways to stay fit and maintain optimal health regardless of age!

My students are working towards becoming the best individuals they can be, contributing to a better, healthier society!

My Project

Our Health & PE Department deserves the same amount of technology any other classroom would have readily available. These tablets would be for our HPE Department, allowing students to always have access to instructional technology in either the health room or the gymnasium. Tablets take away the clutter of laptops (we're always on the go, especially in PE, and need the versatility of being able to take a 'small' piece of technology on the move with us) and gives students instant access to research information, various applications, as well as a means of recording their progression throughout various skills they must master to complete each unit.

With these tablets, students will be able to make deeper connections with content through a portable device ready to gather and disperse information.
