My Students
My students are all ELLs, at various stages of language development. They are smart and funny and eager to learn, but they need a few tools to help them on their path to success.
My students are ELLs, whose families have come from all over the world.
Over 12 languages are represented in my classroom this year. Many of these students face tremendous challenges in their lives: dealing with poverty, overcoming past trauma, or medical situations. Despite this, they are eager to participate and succeed.
My Project
My students will use the iPads for many purposes. There are multiple apps that my students will have access to advance their learning, think critically and demonstrate their creativity. I hope to have students publish digital books with the iBooks app, to listen to authentic literature on the Epic website and document their learning on the SeeSaw app. I also will use the iPads to assess their learning and individualize instruction.
These tablets are engaging and motivating tools to help my English learners succeed.
These tools are essential for helping my students become successful citizens in the 21st century. They provide multiple opportunities for my students to learn, express themselves, and have fun.
