This grant may seem like it is filled with a variety of different materials but all of them are so important to produce projects and activities that may not be possible without the \"extras\" that make learning fun and exciting. The mini tables and caddies have been used to make learning movable throughout the classroom. The multicultural pencils, paint, paper and books were used enhance our writing lessons and added to our art area to produce some creative pictures. The stickers help add some new materials to our writing area that allows them to use their imagination to create signs, letters and books during our center time. Your support means so much to me and my students! It allows for so many opportunities for activities and add ons that may not always be available in schools without the generosity of donors like you. The students love the art materials that were we able to obtain! We have already used them quite often!\r\n\r\nThe popsicle sticks have had many uses, but one of the favorites is making puppets from characters that we meet in stories that we read. The children use the puppets to retell the stories building vocabulary and comprehension. We used the feathers to create birds and nests during our bird unit! The miscellaneous art supplies such as pipe cleaners and googly eyes are rich resources for the students to use independently at the art studio in class. \r\n\r\nThank you so much for your generosity and kindness in funding this project for us and allowing us to have these wonderfully creative materials for use in the classroom. Support by donors like you really helps make an impact on their education and school experience. These materials have brought so much fun and learning into our classroom. The bins have added much needed storage for all of our activities and books. This has helped us organize our materials so that the children can get it for themselves and also helps them to learn self help skill which is so important to them becoming independent learners. \r\nWe used the math stackers to help with our math lessons on addition and subtraction. The kids loved the hands-on aspect it added and it was helpful for them to see a visual representation of how much it is when we add or subtract numbers. Like the math visuals the letter arch was added to small group instruction to assist in the children building CVC words when learning to read and write. \r\nLastly the photo paper, TPT card and laminating paper allowed for new activities to be created and laminated so that it can last for years to come. \r\nThank you again so much for all your support and generosity for my amazing kindergartners!","fullyFundedDate":1746464156729,"projectUrl":"project/small-group-learning-fun/9195607/","projectTitle":"Small Group Learning Fun!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Mahoney","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/267323"},{"teacherId":690346,"projectId":9197085,"letterContent":"Thank you so very much for making it possible for my students to have these wonderful resources available in our classroom! They were all so excited to see our packages arrive after we spoke of the kindness of our donors that provided these.\r\n\r\nThe children love building and all of the magnetic tiles kits were such a source of inspiration and creativity as they constructed many different things. During our unit on cities and community helpers, the children used these kits to construct skyscrapers, city buildings and used the construction kit with workers, cars and roads. The children explored engineering concepts, math concepts as they built various size buildings, and expanded their social skills as they worked together and conversed to problem solve and tell stories. Thanks to your support, I was able to bring a printer, laminator, and small picture printer into my 1st grade classroom. Having this technology right in the classroom has been incredibly convenient. I could print student pictures and create engaging crafts with them on the spot, and I was also able to laminate a variety of resources that I will continue to use year after year.\r\n\r\nYour donation has had a big impact on my students' learning. With these tools, they are able to see their work come to life immediately, which makes lessons more interactive and fun. The small picture printer, in particular, is something my students get very excited about—they love seeing their photos printed and being able to take them home or use them in classroom projects.\r\n\r\nSome students who are usually quieter or less confident in class have especially warmed to this technology. Having the ability to see their work printed or laminated makes them proud and more engaged in activities. It's been amazing to watch their confidence grow as they interact with these tools.\r\n\r\nThank you again for helping make our classroom a more creative and inspiring place to learn.
