Tablets Can Make This Intimidating World Comprehensible

My students need Tablets to assist in their search for knowledge of the world around them. These tablets will allow them the ability to access a world that they might never get to visit.

My Students

My preschool students attend a Title One school in Missouri. Over seventy-eight percent of our student population is enrolled in the free or reduced price meal program. Many of my students have very limited life experiences.

My students are curious and excited to learn!

Everyday they enter my classroom with a grin and a "can do" attitude. They enjoy using their imagination and creativity on a daily basis. These students love to sing songs and dance. As their teacher, I try to develop lessons related to their areas of interest.

My Project

I am requesting inexpensive Tablets for my Title I Preschool class. Technology is a big part of today's world. Technology can make this vast and intimidating world of ours become small and comprehensible. Through the use of Tablets my students will have the opportunity to hear,see, and savor adventures that they might not get to experience otherwise.

The Tablets will help my students become ready for reading, create texts, and become active participants in a variety of explorations.

My students need to have many opportunities to hear stories, explore new worlds, and manipulate tools that enhance their learning. My use of the Tablets, alongside hands-on early learning activities will expanded my students' horizons.
