My TK (Transitional Kindergarten) class is made up of a very unique group of students. For many, this is their first school experience. They come in ready to soak up everything like little sponges. They are eager little learners who love to explore, experiment and learn. My students are very curious and excited when learning something new. I love to see them be creative and use their imaginations. I would love to provide more opportunities for them to keep learning and growing.
TK is the place to learn the skills necessary to build a strong, solid learning foundation.
They are able to reach their goals in a class where they can have hands-on learning experiences. Being able to manipulate and actually see how something works gives them a better understanding. I love to see their little faces light up when they discover new things and know they are all capable of learning. In TK, we grow, play, and learn together in a positive, safe learning environment. I am so proud of all my creative little thinkers!
My Project
The Samsung Galaxy Tablets will be a tremendous asset to my class. As technology keeps growing and changing day by day, my students need to be ready for those challenges. Giving them opportunities in small groups helps them learn to use these valuable tools. My students will also be able to work independently on the tablets to reinforce many skills.
The Samsung Galaxy Tablets will help my students practice language and math skills during center time.
They will be able to access learning games that will help them improve their skills in phonics, phonemic awareness, counting, patterns, shape recognition and so on. They will also be able to listen to read alouds and watch educational videos. They will be able to see live videos of animals in their habitats or see the stages of how a plant grows. The learning that can take place with these tablets is endless!
