My Students

My students come first and foremost with everything I do in my classroom. Not only in academics, but for their health and well-being.

Every day I teach three blocks of about twenty children each.

Because of this pandemic, our students cannot freely socialize with other classrooms. It is important that each group develop a strong sense of community within our walls. This requires them to work closely together sometimes. When they sit in separate rows, they don't feel like they are a group. They help each other with assignments. They work together on class projects.

My students work really well in groups and these tables will allow them to do this safely. These tables allow them to do that and yet still have their own workspaces. They allow my students to be social and safe and they need that at this time. The tables are not just furniture in the classroom. The two tables we received in phase one are working out beautifully!

My Project

If my project is fully funded, it will allow my students to sit in a collaborative setup, using plexiglass dividers, and still be socially distant. Working in groups is an important part of our learning process. This will allow my classes to work together in a safe way and allow the dividers to sit properly and safely on the table.

Since there is a high risk of pediatric infection of COVID-19 in our area, their safety is very important to me!

I want each student that walks through my door to feel safe so learning can happen.
