This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
I am requesting tabletop foldable magnetic dry erase boards to use in small group, as well as, during independent work. My students can write math problems and show their work. They can also work with partners using different color dry erase markers to show individual work. These boards can be used during other times such as spelling practice, c-v-c segmenting and blending, etc. During inside recess, my students can draw and practice writing. I can easily access their work by simply walking nearby.
Research states that some students may need to see their work instead of having to hold it to memory.
These boards allow them to write out what they need to in order to solve problems. They can easily change what they have written with just the wipe of a letter or number. Please help us to get this much needed tool into our classroom.
