Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Energetic, inquisitive, and intelligent are the words I would use to describe my students. My students are faced with several challenges in all areas of life.

Despite the many challenges they face daily in their environment, I am motivated to provide all of my students with experiences that would make them well rounded, lifelong learners.

My students come from a low socioeconomic area. They are faced with issues that can't be addressed through education. As a caring educator, I desire for them to have everything they need in order to succeed. Many of my students depend solely on me to provide and protect them in and out of school. My students are very special to me!

My Project

The purpose of this project is to allow my students to be innovative and creative in class. We are excited about attending our class field trip and want to attend uniformed and in style! I would be using several techniques that would allow me to teach my students about how personalized t-shirts are made. We do not have class shirts but would love for them to be able to experience making their own.

I know that my students are going to enjoy designing and creating their t-shirts and understand how vinyl is transferred and heat pressed all at the same time.

My second grade students deserves all this and more and with your help, they will have the best memory ever!
