Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
A hydration station that includes a variety of sugar free syrups in the classroom encourages students to drink water regularly. Dehydration can lead to fatigue and decreased cognitive abilities. By providing easy access to sugar free syrups and water- teachers can promote good hydration habits among their students. We feel that providing students with a hydration station will help the students to increase focus, de-escalate behaviors, and teach healthy habits for life.
Furthermore, having a hydration station in the classroom fosters community and inclusivity.
It allows for social interactions during snack breaks where students can bond with their peers over shared meals or conversations about healthy eating habits.
