Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Sixth grade students love to spread cheer when given the opportunity. One way that they love to spread cheer is through our Kindness Kart. Our cart has allowed students to take ownership and spread cheer to students and staff throughout our campus. Since Valentine's Day is around the corner and the second quarter is about to end, I thought that it would be a good opportunity to spread some cheer with some sweet treats.

Students will spread cheer to show their friendship with a sweet treat throughout our campus.

My students will write notes to wish other students to have a great day, try their best, or remind them that they are special. They will attach a sweet treat, such as a lollipop, Ring Pop, M & M's, or Airheads. Students will leave the notes and sweet treats on kids desk in other classes as a surprise for the next day. What a great way to spread joy and cheer throughout our school! The organza bags will be used to make baggies to fill with sweet treats for my students. The baggies will have the Nutella & Go pretzel snacks, Kit Kats, and Mentos. Thank you so much for taking a peek at our sweet project that will make an impact around our school. I can't wait to see all the smiles the notes and sweet treats will bring!
