Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our classroom library needs beloved, high quality literature that will engage and inspire our students. Charlotte’s Web by E.B. White and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl - stories that capture students’ imaginations while building strong reading skills is needed.

These books were selected to :

comprehension, build vocabulary and critical thinking and support whole class instruction and independent reading.

To build these skills, students need opportunities to annotate and interact closely with texts. However, not all students are able to purchase their own copies. Having classroom sets of these books ensure child can fully participate in meaningful reading experience.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
