Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are an amazing mix of urban students. There are many ethnicities, languages, religions, and family structures that make a rich community of learners. Our school has worked hard to create and maintain a safe environment, where students have tools to help them navigate social interactions and internal conflicts, where students with trauma find love and support, and where families feel empowered to engage in their children's education and classroom.

The community I work with has so many strengths, viewpoints, and experiences.

It is my obligation to support them continuing their learning and understanding of the world.

My Project

There are many important things that keep a classroom running. Some are big ticket items, computers, projector, large screen TV.

But, what really keeps the classroom functional are the little things, students need a pencil sharpener that doesn't squeal when you use it, they need markers that aren't dried out, they need batteries to keep computer mice working.

All the little things that allow my students to create and work without the frustrations of faulty tools. Students will benefit from all of the supplies to have a successful school year.

These little things add up quickly. I would really appreciate anything you can donate to support my students in having a productive and educational year.
