Surprise Treat for My Students! Part 2

Help me give my students pencils, pens, and a variety of treats for a special treat for Valentine's.

My Students

Approximately 81% of the students at our school receive free or reduced-price lunches. Many come from low-income areas, live in poverty, or combat homelessness, and we have a high number of military families. There is an amazing group of hard-working young adults in my class. They strive every day to do their best and succeed. Their goals and dreams are to achieve high school diplomas and go to college.

My students take any obstacle in their path head-on and don't let it slow them down.

These students overcome so many different setbacks during their time in school.

My Project

My students amaze me each day with how hard they work to be successful and do the right thing. Even after returning to school after being virtual for so long due to COVID-19, my students are trying even harder. I want to make sure that my students know that they are supported and loved, no matter of their academic achievements, but just for being themselves. I would love to surprise my students with a small Valentine's treat bag to help remind them of this. I am requesting pencils, pens, and a variety of treats that will put a huge smile on their faces.

My students have faced so many obstacles since our return to the classroom with all the new guidelines and are limited on what we can do, so just putting a little joy in their day will mean so much to them and myself.

Today, more than ever, it is important to remember that school is more than just a place to learn, but a place for them to feel safe and supported, while still getting to be kids. Thank you for considering supporting my students through this project.
