My Students

Hale County Middle School is located in a rural town in Alabama. Moundville is a wonderful family oriented community. My students are charismatic and goal oriented. However, they lack the supplies necessary to perform to their greatest potential in my classroom. Most students do not have calculators, writing utensils, or paper each day. I would love to be able to help provide them with these each day. However, we lack the funding to do so. We would appreciate your help!

My Project

At a rural school, I typically do not receive basic supplies from students returning to school each year, nor do the students have their own supplies. We have limited funding to purchase items for our classroom. I need paper for my students' guided notes. We do not have textbooks aligned to the Alabama 8th grade math standards. Therefore, My students need copy paper, so that I am able to copy their notes. My students also rarely have pencils. It is important that I have the supplies, so that my students can be successful. They will use the pencils every day for the guided notes.
