This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love teaching my middle school science students because they are naturally curious, eager to explore new ideas, and excited to make connections between science and the world around them. My students thrive when they have access to the tools and resources they need to fully participate in hands-on learning activities and classroom discussions.

The materials requested will help create a more engaging and equitable learning environment for every student.

A projector will allow lessons, science demonstrations, diagrams, and interactive activities to be displayed clearly so all students can access important content. Printer paper and copies are essential for providing guided notes, lab activities, assessments, and practice materials that support student learning throughout the year. Pencils with sharpeners ensure that every student has the basic supplies needed to complete daily assignments and participate in pen-and-paper activities without interruption. Finally, facial tissues will help maintain a healthy and comfortable classroom environment, allowing students to focus on learning when seasonal illnesses and allergies arise.

These resources will remove barriers to learning, increase student engagement, and help ensure that all students have the materials they need to succeed academically.
