My Project

The students we serve at our high school are in desperate need of the emotional tools to navigate life in our community. As educators, we recognize the critical role that emotional regulation plays in academic success and overall well-being. That's why we are committed to providing our students with the resources they need to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

One of the most powerful tools we can give them is regulation learned through regular meditation.

Research has shown that regular meditation practice can significantly enhance emotional regulation skills, reduce stress, and improve overall mental health. Meditation literally changes the brain and nervous system to both enhance mental health and improve health overall. Immune function and digestion are allowed to function properly, decreasing the number of days missed for any health reason, be it mental or physical.

This is where we need your help. We are seeking donations to create a serene and inviting meditation space in my classroom. Along with other donations the classroom has received before, with your help we can continue to provide a safe space for our students and exemplify what it looks like to create their own space in the future.
