Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our therapeutic program contains students in grades kindergarten through eighth grade, who are living with social, emotional, academic, and behavioral challenges.

We have included the necessary tools, materials, and incentives to help our students be successful socially, emotionally, and behaviorally.

Here is how each item will benefit our therapeutic program!

Art Supplies: This will allow teachers to run art therapy lessons for their students! Art therapy will help students with self-expression, processing feelings, and overcoming experiences.

Fidgets: The variety of fidgets will allow our students an outlet when feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or upset.

Gift Cards & Lego Sets: Incentives are a huge component in our program to promote positive behavior. Our students are highly motivated by gift cards and Legos!

Aaron's Putty: Our students are highly motived by Aaron's Putty. Having this in our classroom provides the opportunity to earn as an incentive or to use in a time of need, such as being overwhelmed or frustrated.

Lastly, We have included materials such as laminating sheets and velcro dots to maintain the current needs of thee classroom. We use the laminating sheets for our coping skills, behavior expectations, social skills, behavior charts, and more!
