Supporting Healthy Habits With a Calming Wellness Center

My Project

School can get stressful with deadlines, challenging materials, multiple classes, and extracurricular activities. An essential skill my middle school students must learn is healthy coping strategies before moving on to high school.

With your help, I would like to give my students a calming wellness center that can teach them healthy coping strategies to improve energy, concentration, motivation, optimism, and academic performance.

Coping strategies are vital life skills students will need to succeed in school and beyond.

My list includes a teen's guide to coping strategies, a motivational coloring book, words of affirmation kit, stress balls, sensory toys, and a mindfulness breathing tool. All of these tools use positive strategies to deal with and mitigate issues associated with stress. I hope this small center can provide essential skills they will use in the future.
