My Project

As an elementary art teacher at a brand new school, I am trying to create a classroom where students can relax, be creative, and genuinely look forward to coming each week. Many of my students spend so much time focused on testing, structure, and core academics, and I want art to be a place where they can have brain breaks, express themselves, and feel excited to learn. Unfortunately, because our school is so new, funding and available supplies are extremely limited, making it difficult to provide engaging activities and meaningful experiences for my students.

I want my students to walk into art class and be excited to create!

I want to build stations that give students freedom of choice, provide prizes and incentives for participating in art game-show style quizzes, and create an environment that encourages imagination and confidence. I have already spent a large amount of my own money trying to provide supplies for my classroom, but I simply cannot continue funding it alone. These materials would help transform my classroom into a creative, engaging space where students can truly enjoy learning through art.
