My Project
The second through fifth grade art students at P.S. 889 already explore a wide range of artistic media, including painting, collage and printmaking, but all young artists love to build with clay! We have a kiln but are missing other supplies, such as kiln-fired clay, modeling tools, and colorful glazes. These supplies are essential to establishing a ceramics program.
My goal is to allow my art students the opportunity to create ceramics this year!
Each grade will create a different ceramics project, from pinch pots to sculptures to portraits. Thanks to your donations, I can continue to enhance the art education students receive at our school.
