My Project

The 2nd grade class will be starting a unit on Fossils. To make the learning more fun and engaging students will approach this unit through project based learning. The materials requested will give them an opportunity to experiment and understand the process of fossilization.

Students learn best and learning is more meaningful when they can connect it to real world.

For this reason students will engage with the fossil kit to learn how paleontologists use tools and careful procedures to gather evidence about past life through fossils. Students will also connect themselves to their local environment and understand the past history in a more engaging way.

2nd graders are very engaged and excited in learning when they feel a part of the learning process. These materials will help us exactly with that.
