Hands on learning has been proven to be an effective strategy for students. Some of the supplies that we need will be used specifically for Reading and Writing Workshop. The magnetic letters, the dry erase markers, and the sight word flash cards will help with Reading and Writing center. Our library needs an uplift and Dr. Seuss books will help with that. The bins will help us organize our classroom library. Students in 1st grade class should be exposed to a variety of books. We will be adding new picture books throughout the school year. Any material that will be added to the class will help in the learning process of my 1st graders.
