This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our 3rd grade classroom in Bushwick, our incredible students are on the autism spectrum and thrive in environments that are structured, calm, and visually supportive. To meet their unique needs, we rely on a variety of visual materials, schedules, behavior supports, learning tools that require constant printing. That’s why ink is essential to keeping our classroom running smoothly.
Equally important is maintaining an organized, clutter-free space.
For autistic learners, too much visual or physical chaos can be overwhelming and distracting. With proper storage solutions, we can create a calm and predictable environment where every item has its place, allowing students to focus, feel safe, and learn with confidence.
These materials aren’t extras they’re critical to helping our students succeed academically, emotionally, and socially.
