Support our Students with the HackDay Electrical Engineering Competition
Help me give my students Raspi Pico, ESP32, various sensors and modules (including relay, H bridge, PIR, GPS, soil moisture), stepper motors, solenoid valves, batteries, and a battery control board.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
The specific items requested will profoundly enhance students' learning experiences in several ways. Firstly, by utilizing Raspberry Pi Pico, ESP32, and an array of sensors and modules like MPU6050, relay modules, and H bridge modules, students will gain invaluable hands-on experience with various electronic components and microcontrollers. This practical engagement will deepen their understanding of circuitry, programming, and system integration.
Moreover, these tools will cultivate critical problem-solving skills, essential for addressing real-world challenges aligned with the Hackaday prize categories.
Sensors such as TOF sensors, soil moisture sensors, PIR sensors, and GPS modules will enable students to explore innovative solutions for the 2024 challenge, promoting creativity and innovation. Collaborative efforts in project development will enhance teamwork and communication skills, crucial for success in both academic and professional settings.
Furthermore, the project aims to empower students to create impactful solutions with tangible benefits to society or the environment. Through experiential learning and interdisciplinary approaches, students will be equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to address complex issues effectively. By participating in the Hackaday prize competition, students will gain exposure to real-world engineering challenges, preparing them for future academic pursuits and career opportunities.
My goals for this project are to foster a collaborative and innovative learning environment, empower students to tackle real-world challenges and facilitate their growth as critical thinkers and problem-solvers. My students' enthusiasm, curiosity, and dedication to making a difference make them uniquely positioned to excel in the Hackaday prize competition and beyond. Their passion for learning and their commitment to creating positive change underscore their exceptional qualities as learners and future innovators.
