Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Sensory toys and puzzles help our students focus and regulate their emotions. The blocks help our children' fine motor abilities, as many of them require support in strengthening the muscles in their hands and fingers. These activities help them develop their focus, attention, and self-regulation abilities. The sensory toys we currently have in our classroom are outdated and broken, therefore we'd want to replace them with new sensory toys and puzzles to help our students regulate their emotions. The bean bag chairs will be a key component of our classroom calming area, where students can relax and regulate their emotions. This will help create a pleasant and friendly environment by having bean bag chairs available to our students whenever they need to take a break. Having these bean bag chairs will allow us to establish a zone that promotes self-calming while offering a peaceful setting for our students.

My students are special because they are each unique, and having these objects can help support their emotional feelings.

With these goods, my students will have options available to aid them with their emotional needs.
