We are already using the new resources to combine hands-on STEM activities with a shared breakfast time, which has made a big difference in how my students start their day. One specific moment that stood out was when students worked together on a simple engineering challenge using the new STEM materials while enjoying breakfast at the same time. They were talking, problem-solving, and encouraging each other in ways that don't always happen so naturally for them.\r\nWhen my students first saw the materials, their reactions were full of excitement and curiosity. Many of them immediately wanted to explore everything, and it was powerful to see students who are usually hesitant become eager to participate and collaborate with their peers.\r\nOur next steps are to continue building on these experiences by introducing more structured STEM challenges that require teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. We will gradually increase the complexity of the projects so students can grow in confidence and social interaction while continuing to enjoy a positive, welcoming breakfast-and-STEM routine each day.","fullyFundedDate":1778225481766,"projectUrl":"project/stem-experiences-with-fuel-for-the-day/10062902/","projectTitle":"STEM Experiences with Fuel for the Day","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lese-Sauvajot","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7391287_orig.png?crop=278,278,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1688165656992","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mjlesesauvajot"},{"teacherId":7391287,"projectId":10129112,"letterContent":"We are truly grateful for your generosity and support of our music program. Your contribution is already making a meaningful difference for our students, many of whom are experiencing structured music instruction and performance opportunities for the very first time. Technology like the microphone and singing machine helps level the playing field by giving every student equal access to high-quality sound, clear modeling of pitch and rhythm, and the ability to hear and evaluate their own voices as they learn. This immediate feedback supports skill development in areas like vocal technique, listening comprehension, reading music, and timing, while also building confidence in a very tangible way.\r\n\r\nWhat excites our students most about these new tools is the chance to hear themselves sound \"like real performers\" and to participate in music in a way that feels professional and fun. The singing machine, in particular, makes practice feel interactive and engaging, turning rehearsals into experiences they look forward to rather than routines they simply go through. Many students are especially excited about being able to follow along with songs they recognize and gradually master them as a group, which makes the learning process feel both rewarding and collaborative.\r\n\r\nSeveral students who were once hesitant to sing alone or speak up in class have especially warmed to this technology. The microphone has given quieter students a sense of presence and pride, allowing them to hear their voices amplified and valued, while the structured playback features help them build courage step by step. Students who previously stayed on the sidelines are now volunteering to lead warm-ups or try solo parts, encouraged by how supportive and inclusive the environment has become. Overall, this technology is not just enhancing instruction! It is helping every student feel seen, capable, and part of something bigger.","fullyFundedDate":1778085985342,"projectUrl":"project/every-student-deserves-a-stage-and-a-mom/10129112/","projectTitle":"Every Student Deserves a Stage and a Moment to Shine","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lese-Sauvajot","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7391287_orig.png?crop=278,278,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1688165656992","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mjlesesauvajot"},{"teacherId":7391287,"projectId":10240947,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our classroom project. Because of your donation, my students now have access to engaging materials that encourage creativity, teamwork, and critical thinking while making learning more meaningful and enjoyable each day.\r\n\r\nThe technology and interactive learning tools have greatly enhanced student learning by making lessons more engaging, accessible, and collaborative. Students are able to practice important academic and problem-solving skills through hands-on activities and educational games that encourage participation from every learner. The new materials also support social-emotional growth by helping students communicate, work together, and build confidence in a positive classroom environment.\r\n\r\nWhat excites students most about the new products is the opportunity to actively participate in their learning while having fun at the same time. Several students who are typically quieter or hesitant during lessons have especially connected with the interactive materials because they allow them to learn in a more comfortable and engaging way. It created a sense of comfort and community that helped students settle in and begin learning with a positive mindset.\r\n\r\nMy students were incredibly excited and grateful when they first saw the materials arrive. Their faces lit up with joy, and many immediately said \"thank you\" and shared how much they appreciated having something warm and comforting in the morning. For some students, this small gesture made them feel truly seen and cared for. It was heartwarming to watch them encourage one another and share in the experience together.\r\n\r\nBecause students are starting the day more energized and ready to learn, we are now able to dive deeper into our classroom lessons and collaborative activities. The gaming activities motivate students to attend before-school, lunch, and after-school programs regularly and stay actively engaged.\r\n\r\nThis technology has been especially impactful for students who are shy or struggle to connect in traditional settings. We have new science materials and tools that make learning way more fun. For example, in our science class, we used microscopes and little kits to look at pond water and soil.
