Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My classroom is a self-contained kindergarten class.

My student population consists of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Learning Disabilities, and Intellectual Disabilities.

Working with this population can be difficult, but it is super rewarding within this environment. I teach the most interesting, caring, well-behaved scholars ever! My school is a student-centered environment filled with "World-Class Teachers!" As a team, we are continuously brainstorming ways to evolve as educators, and we are also advocates for family involvement in the learning process!

My Project

My students are so creative and use their imagination all the time. They are always coming up with different science and art experiments. I would like different science and art materials to help them create experiments and art.

Students deserve to have all sides of their personality expressed openly and freely.

Some kids are better at arts and crafts, music, math, reading, or science. I want them to know its okay to get creative and get messy with science and art! I have asked for things like volcanoes, slime, LEGO kits, volcanoes, sand art and much much more. Please help my students become scientists and artists.
