My Students

Our school is a Title One School in Bowling Green, KY. The majority of my students come from low income households and complicated home lives, but continue to strive to be their best they can be. Our students have accomplished their Highest ACT Score in eight years, student attendance is at ninety-five percent, and we have the lowest discipline numbers in three years.

I have the privilege of teaching some of the most hardworking and humble high school students.

I want to provide every opportunity for them to succeed! This is my sixth year teaching Visual Art I, II, III, Advanced Art and Independent Study Art. I am also the Yearbook Advisor, teaching Journalism and Photography.

My Project

My students love to paint and can't get enough of it! As of today, my Art I classroom seats thirty-three students. With this high number, it is very challenging to supply paint for all my students. We use paint often, but we go through our supplies pretty quickly.

I am proud to see my students wanting to paint as much as possible in my classroom.

This project would allow them another way to have hands-on painting! These paint trays would allow us to continue to paint and create beautiful, colorful art work. My students could continue their passion for painting!
