My students are one of a kind. When they walk through the doors of my classroom, I become their teacher, their mother, a helping hand, a listening ear and a loving heart. My students are a part of what I have become in my career. When I am in my classroom without them, I am lost. I am confused. Yes, when they are in class, I always need a break, but I miss my babies.
When I think about my school, the school's neighborhood, and the students that are comprised within my classroom, I would describe our school as a low-income school.
The students (past, present, and future) that I have come in contact with in the four walls of my classroom, show eagerness, and enjoy learning about various things. These students love to learn, but they don't always have what is needed to fully succeed, but I always make things possible.
My Project
My students need classroom supplies such as glue, pencils and construction paper so they will be able to complete classroom assignments, whether it be in the classroom or at home. Daily I hear students say that they don't have certain supplies, and I can't supply everyone. In my class, we share everything, whether it is pencils, paper, glue, crayons, and various other classroom supplies. Not every child is fortunate to have the supplies we use daily. Donations to this project will make life simpler for some of my students. They will be able to go to the supply bin/closet when they need something. They won't have to go without anymore when completing assignments.
