This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have TONS of fun projects that I have incorporated into my science curriculum this year. Do you know what it feels like to put those finishing touches on a project you've worked so hard on? Crayons, markers, colored pencils and sharpies will allow us to make our work POP!

I have been working in the South Bronx for the past six years and love it!

I have the greatest kids ever and I can't imagine working anywhere else. It is so hard to keep up with the demands of a classroom. I always feel awful asking the kids to bring in supplies, let alone the extras like crayons and markers, because many families can't afford it. My kids work super hard on various research projects throughout the year. It is so rewarding for them to be able to put on the finishing touches with these kinds of supplies.

My Project

These resources will allow my students to put the finishing touches on numerous projects and reports that they put a lot of time and effort doing! After spending weeks researching, writing, and putting something together, having access to coloring supplies and various types of paper helps take that project to the next level. My students need multicultural, washable, fine tip, and chisel tip markers, colored pencils, poster board, copy paper, and 20 boxes of crayons to start off the school year.

This project is so important to myself and my students.

Having changed to a new school and classroom this year, I have been able to introduce Donors Choose to an entirely new group of students. Like many of my other students, they have been able to see and understand how complete strangers care about their academic futures! We love and appreciate all of our donors choose donors!
