I have been teaching in the Bronx for the last nine years, currently as a sixth grade science teacher. We have a very limited spending budget per teacher each year, so most of my supplies are out of pocket, something I have no problem doing as the items are greatly appreciated. I love my job and couldn't imagine working anywhere else or being in another career.
