I work with twenty-two, Vietnamese, English language learners. The majority of my students are first generation children in the United States. Many of them also qualify for free lunch. My students love coming to school and learning! Their interests includes the arts, science, reading and math.
A typical school day in my classroom involves children making their own choices.
This includes learning at the block area, working on an art project, dressing up at the dramatic play area, looking at books at the book nook, or working on difficult puzzles.
My Project
Our children learn through hands on experiences! We need supplies to make new math and literacy games! These materials include, glue sticks, velcro dots, and a lot of colored printing! We are constantly printing posters for our dramatic play area, our writing and art center. We send home pictures of children actively involved in what they love doing. We also like to document through printed pictures what children are learning to share with families. Children also love learning about letters, poems, and numbers through games! We also have a need for a space to store our technology in order to keep it safe! We would love your consideration in donating to our project.
