Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am very lucky to teach an amazing group of middle school students. They are enthusiastic, curious, and clever. They come to school every day ready to learn and make the most of their education. Most of my students are first-generation Americans or were born in other countries. Their parents work very hard to make sure they have everything they need, but often they don't have the money available to buy all of the supplies their students need to be successful.
In this project we are asking for a variety of basic school supplies my students will need to have a great school year.
They need items like pencils, pens, and highlighters so they can complete their assignments and be the best students they can! I want my students to be able to concentrate on their education, not worry about supplies they are missing.
These supplies might not seem exciting or glamorous, but they are desperately needed by my kids! Thanks for your consideration.
