Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are a group of amazingly smart and inquisitive first graders!
In first grade, students learn the foundational skills they need to help them be successful throughout their educational careers.
We have a diverse community of students with a high number of English Language Learners.
As is true for schools in many California districts, our school is facing budget cuts which are making it difficult to provide these students with the supplemental supplies they deserve. Any donation will truly change this classroom and provide a deep and enriching school experience.
My Project
My students need to refresh their supplies. It has been a great year, but we still have several months of learning to go!
I want the students to feel as special as they did at the beginning of the year with new supplies.
Dry erase markers, colored pencils, and publishing markers have all gone dull and need to be replaced. We need gel pens to get us excited about and our writing. We need new paper storage bins, so we can keep our papers organized and neat. Lastly, I want cardstock paper to make projects more durable and attractive!
