My Students
Our students are amazing! Many were born into poverty, are immigrants, or are refugees from other countries. Despite difficulties and hardships in their early and current lives, they come to school with smiles, eager, ready, and willing to learn and grow as part of our kindergarten community.
We often spend our own money on necessities for students like clothing, sneakers, snacks, and books.
This doesn't allow us to purchase supplemental materials for the classroom that the curriculum doesn't provide but which can enhance the kindergartners' learning and understanding immensely.
My Project
Often my students make things that I would love to display for all to see. In order to do this, I need computer ink to print out their computer based projects, writing, and work. I need laminating film to protect and make their masterpieces last longer. Laminating pouches would protect their work hanging in the hallways from being destroyed by other students touching them and leaning up against them. The chart paper would allow students to present their ideas in a large format for all to see!
If we had these supplies in our classroom, I would be able to print out, hang and display student ideas, work, art projects and essays!
