My students will walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. School should always be a safe place to grow and experience learning in an enjoyable way.
We are at a Title I school where many of my students will receive free breakfast and lunch.
Often times it can be difficult for us to realize that school isn't just a place to learn for many students; it is their safe and comfortable space. Despite so many hardships, I want my students to be eager to learn and do their best while feeling part of a classroom community.
My Project
As the school year comes close in the next few months, I would love to replenish our supply of tools, like glue sticks, pencils, and paper, as well as books. I have 25 students, so our supplies are scarce. We love to learn about animals!
My students soon will begin an informational project, as well, so it will be helpful to have more informational texts about animals available for them to use during the research project.
Our classroom theme this year is Arthur, so I would love to have more of those books available in my classroom for my students to read. This encourages reading!
