Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are precocious, inquisitive, compassionate, and open-minded children with a thirst for knowledge. I LOVE that my students are eager to learn and despite the many challenges teachers and students have faced by the ongoing pandemic, they continue to thrive. No matter how complicated their daily routine becomes, they continue to work hard.
My students have shown a genuine interest in their education and their willingness to succeed.
They strive daily to stay engaged and focused so that they are prepared for school-wide assessments and state tests.
They are always ready to learn and try new things. As their teacher, it is my goal to supply them with the resources and tools that they need. I do whatever I can because, in my heart, I know they deserve it.
My Project
The 2021-2022 school year has been extremely difficult for most of the parents in my community. As a result, most of the supplies have been purchased by family members, close friends, and myself. As we end the second nine weeks, I have noticed that most of my students' school supplies have been depleted. Hence, they either cry, tend to be very moody, or get upset because they don't have many of the required supplies to complete assignments and activities. The markers, scissors, paper, sharpeners for their pencils, and glue sticks will assist my students with classroom assignments and keep them focused on learning, rather than stressing about what they don't have.
Please help us to fund this project so that every student will have the necessary school supplies to have a successful and productive school year.
